Short Bible Story Preview

After Jesus died, his friends were full of sorrow. Early on the first day of the week, women went to the tomb with spices. They expected silence and sadness, but they found the stone rolled away.

An angel told them that Jesus was not there because he had risen. Later, Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene and then to his disciples. Fear began to turn into joy, and sorrow became a message: Jesus is alive.

For children, the resurrection is the center of Easter. It is not only a happy ending. It is God's victory over sin and death, and it is the reason Christians live with hope.
