A man was traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him and left him hurt by the road. Two religious men passed by, saw him, and kept going.

Then a Samaritan came near. In Jesus' day, many listeners would not have expected a Samaritan to be the hero. But he stopped, cared for the wounded man, took him to safety, and paid for his care.

Jesus asked which person was a neighbor. The answer was the one who showed mercy. For children, the Good Samaritan turns kindness into action, especially toward someone easy to ignore.
